Over-The-Counter Hormone Solutions!
What’s really going on with PCOS? Everyone is different, but we often see the following:
Low progesterone levels can contribute to the development of PCOS. In PCOS, an excess of estrogen stimulates the adrenal glands to produce a large amount of androgenic steroids, likely as an attempt to balance estrogen in the way progesterone does when the ovaries are functioning properly.
PCOS is often linked to thyroid issues. Specifically, a deficiency in thyroid hormone can lead to polycystic ovaries. Low thyroid can lead to overstimulation of the adrenal glands, resulting in an excess production of androgens.
These are just two underlying factors. There’s also lifestyle, insulin resistance, and cortisol.
